Our practice specializes in diagnosing and treating health conditions related to problems with the body’s endocrine system and hormones. We see patients with:

• Adrenal, Pituitary, and Parathyroid disorders
We also provide point-of-care HbAic testing and continuous glucose monitoring.
About Dr. Catherine Ellis
Dr. Catherine Ellis is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and a member of the Endocrine Society. She has been in practice since 2008. She completed her fellowship at Penn State’s Hershey Medical Center and her residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Her leadership positions include serving as Director of the Diabetes Center at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore. Dr. Ellis has also received a postdoctoral research training award from NIH for molecular research at the National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Stroke. She has authored several peer-reviewed journal publications. Dr. Ellis lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and two young sons.
Your First Visit
Before your first visit, please complete the new patient paperwork. Please bring the follow items to your first visit:
- Insurance referral, if needed
- Insurance card
- Identification card
- Copies of your most recent lab reports
- Copy of your most recent office visit notes from your referring provider (primary care or past endocrinologist)
- List of current medications

We accept most insurance plans. Please call our office to confirm your visit will be covered by insurance before scheduling an appointment.
The practice is accepting new patients at our office, conveniently located in Leesburg.
We offer telehealth appointments for follow-up visits only. Telehealth is provided through HIPAA compliant platforms.
Please check with your insurance plan to see if you need a referral before your visit. This is your responsibility and it ensures that your visit will be covered by your insurance plan.
You can send a message to Dr. Ellis through the online portal requesting prescription refills. You will receive an invitation to our portal at the time of your first visit. You may also request prescription refills by calling our main line.
